Jesse Chavez
Former Pirate, acquired in a trade, ends up in Toronto. Perhaps he’s the pitching equivalent of Jose Bautista.
batter nine you sucky
Hip surgery for Giavotella?
When did this happen? Are we sure it was after the season? I’ve been wondering about his late August/September slide—-meaning whether it was injury related. – TL
"Sir,--It has been wittily remarked that there are three kinds of falsehood: the first is a 'fib,' the second is a downright lie, and the third and most aggravated is statistics." *The National Observer* (June 13, 1891): p. 93-94.
Yes and no
Gordon had it one offseason I know. It’s relatively common and Gia should have no trouble getting back to form quickly given his age.
It always depends upon the cause of the tear and the extent of it. There’s no way he had this procedure during the season. He’ll be off his feet for a week or two then crutches for a month or two.
However, it’s not encouraging for a guy who lacks range to begin with. I think the org will promote Colon to AAA and look to make him the everyday 2B sooner rather than later. Any value Gia gives us will be trade value, IMO.

The ESPN Article
About LaRussa and Pujols stole actually destroyed brain cells. Don’t read it.
I used to be an A's fan until they left town and got good.
Colon w/ his first AFL HR today.
And his second error of the AFL season.

Longest run on sentence I've seen recently, and it's just horrid
“Nothing against Dusty Baker, who has won his division wherever he’s been manager, but after watching the uncanny roll that La Russa was on in the National League playoffs and Wednesday’s Game 1 of the World Series as he mixed and matched pitchers, you get the feeling if La Russa were managing the Cubs in 2003, he’d have pulled a double switch and had Moises Alou sitting in Bartman’s seat and the bewildered Bartman taking his place in left field before that fateful foul ball went hooking down the line and changed everything.”
Obviously, you are not a golfer.
Stupid In Form
And content. I want my brain cells back.
