Also, re: The Farmer's Almanac:
I sort of fancy myself as a crotchety old man in the body of a guy in his mid 20s, but the Farmer’s Almanac isn’t the type of thing that would appeal to me. Out of curiosity, I recently opened one up in a store and it was loads of advertisements, and the first actual content I found was astrology, which is complete crap. Very interesting article though.

you'd like to think...
that baseball fans, of all people, with our 162-game-schedule-“you-need-to-mind-sample-size”- mentality, would be a little less fickle and understanding the meaning of of either one good or bad game, week, month, or even year.
If women only slept with nice guys...guys would only be nice. And they don't. And we're not.
