A Simple View Of Gordon's MLB Career

I took Gordon,s stats from June 2007 through the end of 2008, added 2011, and came up with this: 387 Games, 1,662 PA's, 1,479 AB's, 414 Hits, 108 2B, 8 3B, 51 HR, 155 BB, 691 Total Bases. My caveman calculations yielded a .280/.342/.467/.809 corner player. Yes, I am destroying data, but the time period I'm using is the only time he was healthy or ready for MLB (thus the elimination of April and May of 2007). However, this corresponds nicely to the player I have watched since June of 2007. If 2011 was his career year, I'd take this career average for another 5 years of plateau and gradual decline. When Old Guys Try To Use Numbers.
