After my German wife died, I was introduced to a German woman who had been here 14 years. She is a video editor, and good at it, but her English language skills are just good enough to make you think she isn’t really stupid. She is. I made allowances for the language difficulties, but now I see she is just an idiot. Video editing, BTW, is a tedious, high effort job that takes forever. Props to her that she does it well. It just doesn’t take much general knowledge or intelligence.
