In all seriousness, I have never, in 25 years of being aware of my Royals fandom
seen a RF arm as good as Jeff Francouer. No one has his combination of power and accuracy. Give him a Gold Glove for crying out loud.
You must have never seen Dee Brown

I'll take RF for $100 Alex.

Who are three guys who aren’t even on the first page of the UZR listings on fangraphs?
Nick Swisher and Johnny Giavatella deserve treats in the Kaufmann parking lot.
For qualified RF, they are...
There’s only one page.
Isn't UZR a counting stat?
I wouldn’t think qualifying would mean as much – not that anything means much in regards to the Gold Glove in RF for 2011.
Nick Swisher and Johnny Giavatella deserve treats in the Kaufmann parking lot.
if this team doesnt believe that competing this year is realistic...
there’s no reason not to offer him a starting job and see what happens…sometimes all it takes is a new voice

I think AAA should be a starting point
if he requires an MLB contract i'd do it...
too much upside…no downside in what is likely a non competing year

It hasn't been very good
Our WR’s can’t get open and he get jittery in the pocket and sometimes shies into contact and throws of his backfoot….When he steps into a throw he has a absolute cannon and looks good. He’ll need a offseason to work on things like accuracy and footwork…But he’s got all the “unteachable” things. It's more of an indictment of the Chiefs than it is the Chargers.
Fundamentally, the Chiefs are simply a poor offensive team, and have been able to cover for it well through favorable matchups. Offensively, they still played poorly in the Oakland win.

You can’t leave first until you chug a beer. When scoring, you have to chug a beer. You have to chug a beer after all odd-numbered innings. Oh, and the 4th inning is the beer inning.

I think the dumbest rule in baseball is the fraternization rule.
They should just dump it. Torre tried to enforce it, but who really cares if David Ortiz and Eric Hosmer have a chat at first base?

caught foul tips, unless its strike 3, balk rules, strike zones… All the little stuff… But the two most popular sports in Europe are Soccer and Basketball, which really couldn’t be much simpler games.

Next time you watch a baseball game...
try to watch it from the perspective of having never seen a game before… its crazy.
I’ve been to baseball games several times with Europeans seeing the game for the first time… You have to explain everything.
Having said that… I would never say Americans are more complicated than Germans… I don’t know about other Europeans, but Germans over analyze and over engineer EVERYTHING! They adjust their tire pressure when driving on the highways depending on how many people are in the car.
