Jack Marsh Writes ANOTHER letter to Santa.

Dear Santa,

Do me a favor, and just discard that last letter. Trading Wil Myers for Anibal Freaking Sanchez? Come on, what was I thinking?

So, I have a much better wish in store for you, Santa. Be sure to check this damn thing twice because I want to see my Royals win, and win NOW.

Anyway.... let's get right down to it.

Here is what I want for Christmas:

1: I want the Royals to trade Cheslor Cuthbert and Jake Odorizzi for Matt Garza straight up.

2: I want the Royals to dump Hochevar in favor of Gio Gonzalez, coming to Kansas City for the price of Wil Myers, Aaron Crow, and Clint Robinson.

3: I want the Royals rotation to look like:

1-Gio Gonzalez

2-Matt Garza

3-Jonathan Sanchez

4-Felipe Paulino

5-Bruce Chen

4: I want the Royals to win the World Series in 2012.

With the amount of arb money that is going to be owed in a few years i would be surprised if he doens't start in AAA til late may/june

But I prefer Hochevar. He’s getting better every year.

I don’t think Gio could be acquired for those players, but I think Cuthbert and Odorizzi are too much for Garza. I’d rather look for an in-house option (including Crow), and also trade for another SP. But I wouldn’t give up Myers or Cuthbert. Somebody who underachieved last year, but could put up #3 type numbers on an above .500 team.

Anybody want Colby Rasmus for Christmas?

MLBTR says that the Toronto Sun beat guy says that the Royals are interested in Rasmus because they don’t think Cain will hit. So then why did we trade for him and why did we trade Melky away? Agreed, Rasmus will be a lot cheaper than Melky, and he’s a lot younger, but he didn’t have a good year last season and he’s below average defensively.

I hope we don’t trade anyone useful for him.

Now this letter from "Jack Marsh" is the real deal!

I will be sincerely pissed if DM trades either Myers or Cuthbert. I think in about 4 years these two are going to be “Hosmer” type players for KC. Anyone else in the system can be traded; just not these two.
