at least while he is still under control for two years and the Reds have a shot of competing next year. If he becomes available, Pineda would be the type of piece that could start a deal that the Reds might consider. But basically Pineda (and a reliever) for Votto and Grandal is silly.

Estrada, Volstad, Pagan, Snyder, and Bedard, however, are good buy low candidates, although Pagan would not really make sense for the Royals.
