Pedro Feliz Is Our Link To Another Time

Stay connected for news and updates

Pedro Feliz will be 36 this season. That's old, but not crazily so. Feliz made his Major League debut in 2000, at the generic and completely uninteresting age of 25. Again... whatever. Look, guys are old. Blah.

However, he got his start with the early '00s Giants. Thus, when Feliz shows up at Spring Training, these are some of the guys he can talk about playing with:

  • Ellis Burks
  • Robb Nen
  • Benito Santiago
  • Shawon Dunston
  • Eric Davis (really? yes)
  • John Vander Wal
  • Andres Galarraga (seriously, early '00s Giants?)
  • Tim Worrell (ok, not as good as Todd, but still)
  • Reggie Sanders
  • Kenny Lofton
  • Tom Goodwin (former Royal!)
  • Ray Durham
  • Edgardo Alfonzo
  • Marquis Grissom (and this was in 2003 even!)
  • Eric Young
  • Jeffrey Hammonds
  • Mike Devereaux
  • Dave Burba
  • Ricky Ledee (actually, Devereaux is made up, but you believed me)
  • Moises Alou
  • Jeff Fassero (in 2000 freaking 5 and 2006)
  • Steve Finley
  • And of course, Barry Bonds, Mike Matheny and the still playing I think Omar Vizquel. You know who else played with Eric Davis? Pete bleeping Rose.

We must record everything Pedro Feliz says while we can. He's our best living source for baseball history from the mid-1980s through the present.
