I'm only into the 2nd season, episode 2, but Stringer Bell is far too smart to be compared to DM
I don’t doubt DM is smart, but the way he comes off on this site is more like Rawls. Stringer adapts and learns, while DM is seemingly stuck in his ways. I couldn’t read most of what you wrote, as I don’t want to spoil actually watching it.
i dont wanna spoil it b/c i dont know when exactly these things happen in the series....
but stringer definitely has some ‘Jogui moments’. He does the big things extremely well but does some incredibly dumb things that could/do lead to his undoing.

How you aren’t watching at a 15 episode a day clip is beyond me.

Netflix 1 disc at a time.
I would be watching at that rate if I had the 4 disc plan like I did in college.
Just buy it
You know you want to.

Fantastic write up......
the clip where String tries to get the corner boys to work like they be at a regular Kinko’s reminds me of a stats guy trying to talk some sense into David Glass and his boys…..its painfully obvious it just ain’t gonna work. This reminds me of how great the series was….I might have to go thru them again.

I'm rewatching again
I actually didn’t start until the other day, after I’d already had the idea for the series. I’ve seen the first four seasons three times a piece. Season Five twice.

Nice. Does it reward repeat views? I'm starting again with Season 3.....
Season 5 your fave season? You ever read Simon’s book Homicide?
