There’s nothing spectacular about Stewart’s Ferry Apartments. Now more than a quarter-century old, it’s a mature, healthy development. It’s one of those places everybody lives in at one time or another, it seems. But Stewart’s Ferry Apartments is a brick-and-mortar footnote to one of the strangest, saddest stories in baseball history. It played a key role in the decline and fall of the Kansas City Royals.
