MLB Trade Simulator: Good Idea?

Hey, guys.

I just came up with a pretty cool idea for a "Trade Simulator", and I'm not sure if it's been done before or not.

Here's a couple ways it could work:

1. You could select players from an MLB team's 40-man roster and minor league roster. Then you select a team. Then, based on overall WAR, player productivity, all-star appearances/honors, etc., it would select players that would fit the trade from selected team. For example, you could go down the Royals roster and select Joakim Soria. You would then select the New York Yankees, and then it would estimate what players would be right for the trade.

2: You could select players from two teams, and it would simulate if the trade would be reasonable or not with letter grades (Again, based on WAR, player productivity, all-star appearances/honors, etc.). For example, you could select Joe Mauer and Justin Morneau, then select Josh Hamilton and Ian Kinsler, and see your result.

Anyone else think this is a good idea?
