From Keith Law's Chat
1) Hosmer's triple slash prediction for this year: 275/350/475
2) Cole dropping to KC in the draft
Both would be fantastic I think... and surprisingly optimistic coming from Law.

How much would it take to pay Cole?
Would we open the pocketbook? Would love to see it happen. Really, I think we’re in a great position because the Top 10 is so deep. I’d be pretty happy with any of Cole, Bauer, Barnes, Springer, Starling, Bradley, Jungman, Gray…I’d even be okay if we took a shot on Purke.

Cole to the Royals would be amazing
I’m pulling for Starling, and if he doesn’t work out, Jungmann. A co-worker has gone to most of Jungmann’s starts and says he is amazing.

Wow, Law is more optimistic than our avg triple slash line gleaned from a post a few days ago
275/350/475 from a 21 year old – seemingly indicating a decent chance to evolve into something bordering a perrenial All-Star?
Pinch me, I must be dreaming.

Last 28 games – yes, completely arbitrary endpoint – 119 PA, .269/.328/.435. And it’s worse over the last week or so. I’m not slagging the guy, but he’s being buoyed by his crazy first week.

Chairman, The Melky Cabrera Seasoning Sauce. It's great on your outfield!

Pirates are going to take Hultzen and the Royals are looking for a college arm. It seems like Cole is a legit possibility at 5. Though I still don’t think they’ll pass up on Starling if he’s there. No way they let the local kid slip unless the consensus changes on him being a top 5 worthy selection.
