Has something changed with the site?
Over the last few weeks, when open the site the main page will load, but then it acts like it's trying to load all over again and bogs up my CPU as if the computer were trying to play Jeopardy or something. Literally, when you look at the status bar at the bottom, it tells me that it is loading even though there is nothing left to load. I know part of the problem is a crappy computer, but I've never had this happen with the site before. Thanks for any help.

bad ads maybe...
possibly a virus
there was an attack on the network a few months back, it causes issues for some people
There is still a virus that crops up on here occasionally.
Are you using IE?
Try it with Firefox or Chrome.

I had to quit using IE if I was going to use this site
it did the same thing to me as the OP. I have no problems when using firefox (with adblocker plus).
Well I'd quit IE altogether but that's just me.
Glad I came, just wish I hadn't stayed so long.

Sorry...
I didn’t realize that this space was off limits to people that have any interests outside of baseball. It’s a shame that people who have jobs and can’t devote their entire existance to baseball ruin this site for the elitists. What a total gash.

The good news is that the problem is fixable. You guys could quit your jobs and become unemployed, elitist, baseball-obsessed losers like us. Of course you’d have to turn your backs on any girlfriends you might have and also any friends, because we don’t have anything like that. But if you are willing to make that commitment, we would be happy to fully except you into our elitist brotherhood of complete baseball geekdom.
