So, this year both of these teams (Royals and Sporting KC) have decided to attract fans via showcasing local bands. Sporting KC had The Republic Tigers open up their new stadium, and they are having the ACB's play tonight. _(Just wanted to add here that I've seen both of these bands
live several times, and they're fantastic--the ACB's I've hung out with a few times and they're cool guys)_
Anyway, just wanted to see if anyone knew:
1) If other teams around the nation have been doing this for years and we're just way behind the times
2) How do these teams determine which local bands are worthy to play at there games, i.e. which will be most appreciated by fans
3) Have any of you seen any bands out at The K? I saw Rex Hobart and the Misery Boys a few weeks ago, and it was pretty nice (low, low-key.......at one point between songs, Hobart says "Let's take it down a notch" to much laughter.)
