What Hosmer did today was a big mistake. He didn't give us a chance to steal the base. He was overanxious, wanting to make it happen too fast.
Ned Yost, on Hosmer's first-pitch pop-up in the 9th with Getz on 3rd and Dyson, the winning run, on 1st. Um, isn't this something that should've been discussed one-on-one, instead of in the press? I thought Yost was normally pretty good about not throwing his players under the bus publicly... (UPDATE: Changed the link to point to the same article on a different website.
