they don't have much to offer

grady sizemore will need surgery, maybe there’s something for us there.

Honestly, Morgan might be the better player

and although the platoon was better, they aren’t losing a whole lot for this season.

I'm torn

on one hand, he’s a terrible hitter with no plate discipline (~.300 wOBA the last couple seasons).

On the other hand, he’s an awesome defender: in about 2.5 seasons of innings in CF< he’s about +40 UZR and +50 Dewan’s.

He’s at 1.7 fWAR so far this year in less with on 233 PA/506 innings in the field (less than half a season). Despite the horrible bat, he’s above average overall for his career.

Oh I'm talking about when he's past his prime

And his wheels are gone and he’s living off his rep.

Sort of OT:

Did anybody see Stephen Drew’s injury from Wednesday night? Broken ankle ala Jason Kendall. He was sliding into home and it looked like his legs went under the catcher and his spikes caught the dirt. At that point, the video shows his foot coming up from his momentum going forward and his ankle is obviously oriented in an impossible position. I tried to phrase that somewhat lightly, but it was clearly broken. Don’t fetch the video unless you can handle that sort of thing.
