Damn. I actually didn't set out to make an all-royals list
But here we are.

My methodology was to find seasons with wOBA's around .270
and preferably OBP>SLG.
Podsednik never had a season that bad, though he was a painful thing to watch.
Willie’s 2009 could have worked, but then I couldn’t have fit in that Viva Laughlin reference!

Will there ever be a season
where there’s not a single guy on the team we despise? I’m genuinely curious. Not sure if that ever happens with any team.
I actually don't hate anyone on this team.
Getz isn’t quite bad enough to hate, and Melky keeps playing relativity well and well… Frenchy has bad has he has been… Just a swell guy.

And Getz DOES try like a mofo
it’s natural skill he lacks, not ambition. I agree. As far as Royals teams go, this one is as likeable as any in recent memory.
I don't like the angle of the bottom of Getz' nose.
It should be parallel to the deck, but it points upward a tad, leading to the tip of his nose being a clash of odd angles.

Agreed.
No attitude problems, no GCAAs, nobody getting massively overpaid, nobody who doesn’t at least try. Boom Boom’s not dislikeable, he’s just not a good pitcher. No José Guillén and no Jason Kendall and no Kyle Farnsworth and no Yuni Betancourt can improve a fan’s attitude toward his team a lot. The club also owes Gil Meche a big one for walking away from $12 million, something I have never heard of another player doing. Without Gil, there are no big salaries to hate on.
The least liked players are probably Davies and Getz, due not to their GCAA quotients but to their lack of skill. Nobody hates them or wishes them ill. Many people wish they played for other teams.
By the way, what is this recent Billy-bashing over not being enthusiastic enough? Doesn’t look like he’s dogging it on the field. He’s a good professional hitter. He’s having a slightly disappointing season—I’d like to see his SLG above .450—but it’s going to be worth 2 WAR, an adequate performance for a starting player. There’s no reason he can’t do better next year, as he has in the past.

Davies makes sense.
Though his “stuff” being hyped up for no reason is annoying to me

Yes.
I at one time years ago was drunk on Davies’ stuff, but alas am no more.
I'm waiting for my wave of talent to arrive.

I am glad to hear this, i.e., the alas no more part.

It's not really the players
It’s the way in which the FO and media portray and present these players to us. The whole thing with this “mistake-free player” bit with Dayton is just more of the FO pissing on us while telling us it’s just some nice refreshing rain, and it’s incredibly frustrating and insulting, to me at least.

It is more the seemingly insane use of certain players (St. Christopher) and stubbornness
in using them always (Kendall) no matter what the results on the field.

My Go-To Guy
Willie Taveras. 2009 season line: .240 .275 .285, wOBA .259
I used to be an A's fan until they left town and got good.
I think the team is required by law
To have a scrappy, untalented players on the team for media types to write stories about in glowing fashion

I am pretty sure
that Neifi probably made the most mental mistakes on that team. He was that bad.
