Right now the Royals' hitters and fielders are not too bad, and some of them are going to improve. We'll have to see how it all turns out, of course, but we could send quite an adequate lineup out there that would be nearly contender-quality in terms of wOBA, wRC+, and the triple-slash, very young, and cheap. All we have to do is trade Treanor, O'Sullivan, Mazzaro, and Getz for a slightly-above-replacement-level RH-hitting catcher. Throw in Davies if they insist.
