Moustakas just barely missed the cutoff.
Gentlemen, you can't fight in here. This is the war room!

Oops
There have also been 4 Hernandezes – Jackie, Luis, Roberto, Runelvys.

Bad omen that Salvador is already being linked to Neifi

"I thought all baseball players were named Gonzalez or Rodriguez!"

On other teams, maybe
On the Royals, only two of each.

So...
…that’s three guys all named “Ron Johnson.”
We’re on our second “Bill Butler,” too, and we had a “Brian Anderson” twice…
Oh, good catch
4 Andersons also – Brian, Josh, Rick, Scott.
For quite a while I thought that Ron Johnson (1982-1983) and Rondin Johnson (1986) were the same guy. When I learned differently, much shuffling of my baseball card collection ensued.

I also remember
We had a minor leaguer named Rontrez Johnson who I was high on for a while.

He's on the Johnson list above
He had his cup of coffee. I think he made your “20 most obscure Royals” list from way back when

And two Tony Penas!
Although only one played for us.
The Astros have three guys on their pitching staff named “Rodriguez.” Have we ever had three teammates with the same surname? I think we went two Penas once – Tony and Brayan.

We've had a number of duos
Dave and Roger Nelson in 1976
George and Ken Brett in 1980-1981
Lynn and Mike Jones in 1984-1985
Bo and Danny Jackson in 1986-1987
Dave and Larry Owen in 1988
Mark and Storm Davis in 1990-1991
Mika and Mitch Williams in 1997
Roberto and Runelvys Hernandez in 2002
Albie and Mendy Lopez in 2003
Adrian and Dee Brown in 2004
Denny and Jose (yes, the home run king of Canada) Bautista in 2004
Horacio and Ramon Ramirez in 2008
Brayan and Tony (Jr) Pena in 2009 (as you mentioned)
and, as a bonus, Hal McRae as manager and Brian McRae as player 1990-1994
No trios that I can find.
I did find that I left out another set of 4 – May (Darrel, Jerry, Lee, Lucas. No, Misty doesn’t count)

Fun stuff
Thanks for looking all this up.

This reminds me of the Jay Bruce quote a couple of years ago...
…when he was compared to Ken Griffey Jr.
Bruce, displaying an appropriate level of humility, deflected the comparison, saying:
There’s only one Ken Griffey.
…well actually, Jay, that’s not quite true…
Crap, I'm BAD at this
The real record is Davis with 6 – Butch, Chili, John, Mark, Storm, Tommy.
Totally overlooked the D’s.

The Davis brothers!
I had no idea Tommy Davis played for the Royals. Eight games in 1976 out of his 1999 game career.
