Jeff Francoeur NOT Quoted in Royals Remembering 9/11 Story
Just when we thought we knew it all...
If you had the Field in our discussion of which Royal would be quoted talking about 9/11 in the inevitable "Royals Remember 9/11" story, then please proceed to the window to collect your money.
The official site zigged when they might have zagged, quoting such non-Francoeur players as Mike Moustakas, Everett Teaford, and Chris Getz. Just to taunt us, they added a story focusing on Yost's memories as well.
Then again, maybe variety is good. Literally half the news stories on the official site's News page are about Francoeur. I'm not joking. I just wanted more.

I hope Gordon taking the league lead in doubles from Francoeur yesterday
doesn’t take away from the well-deserved attention Frenchy has been getting.
Or worse, cause tension and a leadership crisis. CONFUSION IN THE CLUBHOUSE.

Frenchy was leading the league in doubles?

criminally underrated and under-discussed
move aside, Chase Utley, you are no longer the most underrated player in baseball!

That's why you always take the field!
Versus just one player.
I'm more surprised
that Kendall didn’t make it into the story somehow…at this point he’s basically just the clubhouse fire marshall anyways.

It's okay.
At least you didn’t plagiarize Tom Tango.

I realized on Saturday that Moose was a shoo-in...
…when someone mentioned on the radio broadcast that Sunday would be he birthday.
By that time, it didn’t seem worth voting in the poll, but that one was pretty obvious at that point. He’ll be in that story ever 9/11 for the rest of his career.
