I don’t think Bud is looking at the big picture in limiting international spending. It’s a cliche by now, but you have to wonder how history would be different if the Washington Senators had signed Castro.
IDK about changing history
but with the Royals payroll clickin in at 50M they could easily get a ton of value in the 5M range. Kids signed after their 16 birthday rarely get in the 1m range so you could probably get 10 kids for that much. You may have to give Martinez and Munoz 1M each but that’s still alot of upside talent for 2m.
