Trade #1: Royals trade Billy Butler and Danny Duffy to the Mariners for Felix Hernandez.

Royals get: ace

Mariners get: Consistently good DH/1B with two years of team control and a young, cost controlled starter with #2 or #3 potential.

Holes could be filled by C-Rob or a FA.

Trade #2: Royals trade Mike Moustakas for Derek Holland Straight up.

Royals get: solid #2 or maybe borderline #1 starter with the possibility for an extension.

Rangers get: Long-term solution at third base with the possibility for an extension.

Holes could potentially be filled by a free agent and then eventually by Cuthbert.

FA signing:

Royals either:

Sign Ervin Santana to a 3-year, $30 Million deal.

Or...

Sign Zack Grienke to a 6 year, $100 Million back-loaded deal.

Or...

Sign Matt Cain to a 5-year, $85 Million deal.

Rotation would be:

1-Felix Hernandez

2-Zack Grienke/Ervin Santana/Matt Cain

3-Derek Holland

4- Luke Hochevar/Felipe Paulino/Bruce Chen
