I would much rather pay Melky 6mil for one year

Than pay Francoeur 6mil in 2012 and 7.5mil in 2013. Really didn’t need that second year.

He had his best year ever last year,

so there’s that. If he repeats last year, he is well worth it.

He got $4.8M last year, but bombed, right?

So maybe $5.5M? I am guessing here, because I don’t know how arbitration works.

I'd much rather have Sanchez for that kind of money thank Melky.

Regression will be a bitch and that’s one hell of a raise.

I'm waiting for my wave of talent to arrive.

I think you're in the right ballpark

MLB Trade Rumors developed a metric based on historical arbitration awards, service time and performance in relevant stats and projected $5.2M, I think.

You may know me as NYRoyal.

Hughes didn't pitch last year and got a $1MM raise, i think

Assuming that sucking = being injured in the eyes of the arbitrator. Sanchez is probably in the $5.8MM range.

we saved 200-400k getting Sanchez

$5.6M (plus 200K in performance bonuses)

Go Royals!

I thought Melky would get more like $5M in arbitration.

I don’t think the Giants did a good job here.

He knows how to spend money!

And by that, I mean he is very familiar with the nuts and bolts of getting big paychecks to players.
