Congrats to Mike and too bad he won't be around to answer all the hard Pitch FX questions.

Wow.

Kudos. He certainly deserves it.

Sporadically musing on the Royals at both Royals Review and Royalscentricity, pop culture at Inconsiderate Prick, SVU at Munch My Benson and on Twitter at Old Man Duggan

Now when he slays the Dips dragon, we’ll never know about it. :(

True

But he still won’t be able to reveal his secret.

First Royals Review poster ever to be hired by a MLB front office?

Jack Marsh will be the second.

Tom Tango has posted here

And he’s done work for multiple MLB teams (I think always as a consultant). If Fast is an employee, rather than an IC, then he’s probably the first of those.

Congrats Mike

Yours has been my favorite baseball analysis on the web since I happened upon your breakdown of Bannister’s 2007 BABIP. Hope your new job will occasionally afford you an opportunity to open some pitch f/x studies to the internet community.

If the day comes when the Astros have the opportunity to hire Jin Wong

I will be first in line to recommend him. But I doubt Dayton Moore’s going to want to let him go. You guys are just displaying that you don’t know how to run a baseball team when you make fun of Jin.
