what level of minor league ball are they?

Non-affiliated
Independent league ball. I think I have read before that the level of play is roughly low A ball.

Even the T-Bones wouldn't hire him as a manager...
I thought some of this uproar was because of him getting passed over for manager of the Royals. If so, wouldn’t he try and find another managing job? Or is it more about his reputation being hurt, and he’d rather stay in KC where people think much higher of him?
MAJOR LEAGUE (The Royals)
Rachel Phelps (Royals Management): I think he'll fit right in with our team concept.
Charlie Donovan (Royals Fans): That reminds me, I was going to ask you. What exactly *is* our team concept?
i thought he wanted to spend time with his grandkids in arizona

I figured that's what he said in public because he couldn't say the other stuff.

Why would you assume
that White applied, or wanted to apply, to become the T-Bones manager?
The press release makes the job sound pretty wide-ranging: as a coach he’ll provide instruction as appropriate and during games sometimes remain on the bench and sometimes coach first base. He will also “work alongside T-Bones Vice President & General Manager, Chris Browne”.
Sounds like he doesn’t have the kind of job that often requires you to be in a specific place at a specific time. Kind of an easy-going semi-retirement thing, is what I read into it. Good for T-Bones publicity too — there’s a reason the press release ends with a promo for season and single-game tickets.

That was my take on it.
He can stay in Kansas City and coach, which is the one thing he really did want to do, more or less part-time, in a semi-retired state.

Saw an interview with him on the news
He basically says as a major/minor league coach he has to review game film, spend lots of time in the office, etc. With this job he just shows up, works with the kids a bit, stays during the game, and goes home.

there's too much here for me to just post the article
There is a permanence to White’s words that didn’t exist before, setting up an uncomfortable summer in which the Royals will play host to baseball’s All-Star Game while one of two players with a retired number wants nothing to do with them.

we’ll see about that come mid-july
also says that he did more work for less money than the Royals paid George Brett.
point being, what? he was a better player by far. he has more to bring to the table due to his name recognition alone
The fight between man and franchise grows uglier and less salvageable the more you hear. White had a reputation for badmouthing the Royals to other clubs, for instance.
He says nobody ever brought that to his attention, that a conversation Thursday for this column was the first he ever heard of it. Others say differently.
he cant possibly be dumb enough to need to be told that this is not alright
White said he would only listen to the club if he had "representation" at the meeting, and there is no indication from the Royals that they’d listen to White without major concessions that he isn’t willing to make.
he didnt give them a chance to listen…he walked out of the meeting
"I’ll tell you the most disappointing thing in this," he says. "Nobody stood up for me. Even when I was making sense to them, or thought I was making sense, nobody stood up for me. Nobody."
30+ years in the organization and nobody will stand up for you? that should tell him something about himself. where were all of his former colleagues and friends who dont currently work for the organization? they shouldve been able to speak out if so inclined.

Everyone is very sorry, bbb
about that time Frank White refused to sign an autograph for you, called you a weenie, grabbed the beer somebody near you was holding and poured it over your head, followed you home after the game, poisoned your dog, sold your sisters into slavery, and detonated a dirty nuke that left your most cherished place in the entire world uninhabitable for 300 years.
I know you understand that it’s out of love for you when people tell you that it’s time to get over it.
It’s time to get over it.

i need to get over it?
this is a 50 year old man whining in public repeatedly b/c nobody likes him and b/c he hasnt been good at his jobs since he played baseball. i have no respect for people who feel like they’re owed things that they’re not

Keep up the good fight then
and keep us ever mindful of how small a man Frank White really is. If that’s your calling, that’s your calling.
if he stops whining and goes away like he said he was going to, i'll be done
i never thought i’d say this about the glass family, but they’re taking the high road and im glad. this is no longer any sort of embarrassment for the organization…franks making sure of that.
