Heck, if you are going use them, you might as well go all the way.

I've seen bodybuilders mix up concoctions...seems pretty dangerous when u do it like that.

But if your doing it like that you probably have a good idea of what mixes and what doesn’t. I think the bigger concern is the amphetamines, because it is obvious this guy knew he would be busted if tested, so either the players aren’t tested enough or their not tested as stringent (perhaps previous testers overlooked slipping in a clean sample, but this particular one was watching closely). There are a lot of ways to sneak in a clean sample, especially when millions of dollars are at stake. I don’t think the game can ever be clean in that sense.

I am the one who knocks.

I bet John Mayberry and Willie Wilson

regularly played after taking five or more illegal substances. Coke, reds, shrooms, greenies, weed, and ludes, for example, along with a couple of whatever they had for steroids in those days, and a few pain pills.

I wonder who has the record. Dock Ellis claims to have pitched a no-hitter on acid, and people who do acid normally do several other drugs, so he probably wins the most polytoxic pitcher award. Bill Lee smoked a lot of weed and would probably take anything anyone offered him, so you’ve got to consider that. Steve Howe was certainly a dedicated drug user who really put time and effort into it. God only knows what Lenny Dykstra was on.

We should sign him for

3 years and $45M and call him JoGui 2!

In all seriousness, he seems like a decent guy to take a flyer on in AAA if we have room still providing he doesn’t block Suppan’s progress.

@THIS IS A BUNCH OF LIES!@

He was only using three steroids. Drug 4 was to cover up estrogen production d/t steroid use. Drug 5 was basically speed/greenies.
