Kelley L Cox-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire
A pair of decisive fifth games and two series that have gone four. Rocktober, everyone! And Raul Ibanez is dead to me.
Heroes and villans...
Raul Ibanez becomes the first player in history to hit two home runs in a postseason game in which he did not start. Nevermind his first bomb tied the game and his second was a walk-off job.
Meanwhile, one of our favorite closers, Jose Valverde, needs to collect three outs before he can seal the deal for the Tigers to advance to the LCS. Yet he can only get two before Coco Crisp singles home the winning run.
A fairly nondescript postseason until the theatrics last night. It sets up another full slate of games.
Today's schedule...
12 PM - San Francisco (Matt Cain) at Cincinnati (Mat Latos)
3 PM - St. Louis (Kyle Lohse) at Washington (Ross Detwiler)
6:30 PM - Blatimore (Joe Saunders) at New York (Phil Hughes)
8:30 PM - Detroit (Justin Verlander) at Oakland (Jarrod Parker)
Enjoy!
