I don't remember where our 40-man roster stands, but I think this is happening without bumping someone off.
It looks as thought 3m is predicted for him for next year. I don't see anything in a scan of his stats (albeit a quick scan) that encourages me - it look as though he's been on a three-year slide...but he was a first round draft pick. So there's that.
