Now that the official 2013 Hall of Fame ballot is out I figured that we should have an OT on what everyone's Hall of Fame ballot would look like.
The players returning to the ballot are Jack Morris(who is Kevin Appeir with more wins), Jeff Bagwell, Lee Smith, Tim Raines, Alan Trammel, Edgar Martinez, Fred McGriff, Larry Walker, Mark McGwire, Don Mattingley(Who stole an MVP from George Brett in 1985), Rafael Palmeiro, and Bernie Williams. Many of these players have Hall of Fame arguments but some should not and others should be in.
Those on the ballot for the first time with Hall of Fame cases are Mike Piazza, Craig Biggio, Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Curt Schilling, Kenny Lofton, and Sammy Sosa. SOme are PED users, others great players, others good but not great.
Here is what my ballot would look like:
Jeff Bagwell
Craig Biggio
Lee Smith
Tim Raines
Edgar Martinez
Fred McGriff
Mike Piazza
Curt Schilling
Alan Trammell
That is 9. There is a limit of 10 but I see no other player on the ballot that deserves Hall of Fame considerations.
For the veterans committee the ballot has Samuel Breadon, Bill Dahlen, Wes Farell, Marty Marion, Tony Mullane, Hank O'Day, Al Reach, Jacob Ruppert, Bucky Walters, and Deacon White.
Here is my ballot for them:
Hank O'Day
Jacob Ruppertt
Tony Mullane
Bill Dahlen
That is 4. I don't know how many you can have on a veterans committee ballot so let's say 5. I'm interested to see your answers so ballot away.
