2012 Kansas City Royals Consensus Top 31 Prospects
I accumulated a variety of sources and weighed each prospect based on where they were ranked by each list to come up with a top 31 list. This also includes links to all of the lists and a spreadsheet that contains all ranks for each player for each list.

Great resource and thanks for doing it
But I’d wait for BA’s top 30 to come out. I think that data is particuarly important. Also, I think a weighted average makes sense. There’s a lot of crappy lists out there. Not all lists are created equal. Just some thoughts.

Weighting makes sense
But it would be nice to come up with a Royals Review Seal of Approval for publications and evaluators. For example, Scoles and Schaum may not work for national publications, but the depth of their knowledge about the Royals system makes them very credible in ranking those prospects.
Off the top of my head, I think I'd weight them like this
BA 4
BP 3
Sickels 3
Law 3
Pinetar Press 2
Fangraphs 2
Mayo 2
All others 1

Wow, if you kept going much more you’d have to list Squiggy from Laverne and Shirley.

Thought about weighting
But the differences are pretty small, so it doesn’t make a huge difference, except for the lower level prospects.
