After a month of decent offensive production and excellent defense, Lorenzo Cain injures his arm. A few weeks into May, after an overall decline, Cain has Tommy John surgery. Who plays CF for the rest of the year? Also, how does this impact the Royals long term--who starts CF in 2013? Does Dyson get a shot to start, or will MITCH?

Is Lough terrible in center or could he fake it? Also don’t underestimate the possibility we get Scottie Pods back.

Like just about every OF prospect we've had, people say about Lough "Average in CF, plus on the corners."

But I really don’t know.

Mostly Dyson, probably a little Mitch here and there, for about a month

And an almost-guaranteed, bad, pointless mid-season trade for a more expensive veteran CF who isn’t better than either of them.

They might make a trade

for somebody like Ankiel. I don’t think either Maier or Dyson can handle playing every day.

Could Frenchy play center passably? He’s got the arm and seems to have good speed.

Mitch is the best option

He has the ability to at least hit in that spot. Lough is a good thought. Dyson is still a 4th OF although he should get more ABs.

in fact, bubba should play cf even if lorenzocain doesn’t hurt his arm. scratch that…bubba should play centerfield and right field at the same time. if he could only take on second base as well, that’d be solid
