OT: Determining the exact date of Ice Cubes "Good Day"

I know that the regulars on this board seem to all be fans of 'infomation-science' type analysis and mining information stored on the interwebs to study of a broad range of topics. So i thought the analysis of Ice Cubes epic gangsta rap hit "It was a Good Day" might be a fun Fiday OT diversion from work.

*disclaimer* this is not my original work. i copied it from a discussion i had with several other bloggers on an 'alternative.country' music message board (altcountrytab.ca).

I don't know who the original author is, but if the signature on the bottom is authentic, i say "thank you Donovan for this gem."

Following clues in "It Was a Good Day" to determine the calendar date of this epic day in Ice Cubes life.

CLUE 1:

Ice Cube starred in the film “Boyz in the hood” that released late Summer of 1991, but was being filmed mid-late 1990 early 1991 and Ice Cube was busy on set filming the movie Jan 18 1991 too busy to be lounging around the streets with no plans. Ladies and Gentlemen..

Therefore, the ONLY day where:
Yo MTV Raps was on air
It was a clear and smogless day
Beepers were commercially sold
Lakers beat the SuperSonics
and Ice Cube had no events to attend was…

I read some professor calculated the number of days Phil Connors spent in his purgatory in “Groundhog Day.”

i am a scientist, so meaningless studies and debates are almost a job requirement

my colleagues and i once spent an entire afternoon debating using only graphical arguments (without caclulators or equations) which was a bigger number e raised to the power of pi, or pi rasied to the power of e.

its a wonder any real work ever gets done in our lab.
