1. Unless I'm misreading Royals Review, no one thinks Mendoza will do well, and some of you actually want him to do badly. The sooner he proves he's not cut out for ML pitching, the better. Outings like yesterday expedite things. - 2. The Royals are playing with a debilitated roster. Perez and Cain are currently out, and it should at least be considered that Getz is only a short-term placeholder. That's three spots that will be better filled in July. - 3. There is a mid-season trade deadline. Moore can improve the team then, and while I know it's a long ways away, practically no one acknowledged mid-season trade possibilities in the offseason.
