Who's the smartest commenter in the room? May Predictions!

We're almost a month into Our Time™ and we've seen a whole lot of sucking out of our Royals. But there are some bright spots on the team that you can see without putting on a pair of rose-colored glasses or standing in the middle of a dirt field. Some of us foresaw that Getz sting-ocity was for real, while others foolishly believed that Mendoza was a legit major leaguer. Now we know. Or do we? Do you?

Here's a reminder of who everyone* picked to out-perform in April (and just for the month of April):

Hochevar: EspeciallyK

Mendoza: DickHowser4ever, JKWard, Eric Hoz Rulz, Old Man Duggan, Phatt Stairs

O'Sullivan: BabyBlues, Crooow

Pena: Loose Seal

Getz: kcgregory

Hosmer: stlfan

Francoeur: buddyball, Juancho, Tito42, kcdc1, marbotty

Cain: royalblued, billybeingbilly, kcemigre, Dr. van Strijcker,

Betancourt: mitchfreakingmaier!, Royals Medic

*And of course, Warden11, in a true Yost-like decision, went off the ballot and predicted himself.

I'll update this post with the final results for April wOBA and ERA/FIP tomorrow night or soon thereafter, but for now, we need to get our May predictions in before Tuesday. If you like to look at things like numbers, here are the pre-season projections again:

Batters' Projected wOBA

Escobar: .291

Gordon: .351

Butler: .359

Pena: .300

Getz: .289

Hosmer: .343

Francoeur: .298

Dyson: .296

Giavotella: .304

Cain: .305

Pina: .294

Moustakas: .317

Maier: .304

Perez: .303

Betancourt: .286

A couple reminders: you get a point for a correct prediction, and bonus points for how much the prediction over-achieves. Also, a pitcher has to at least pitch part of an inning to qualify. Any further details can be found in the original post. So leave a comment below with your May predictions.
