On Thursday, 39 days shy of the 10-year anniversary of being the Yankees' first pick in the 2002 Major League Baseball draft, former Edmond (Okla.) high school pitcher and Oklahoma State Quarterback Brandon Weeden was chosen 22nd overall by the Browns.
The 71st pick in the 2002 MLB draft -- was chosen ahead of some pretty good baseball players. The roster of those picked after Weeden 10 years ago:

113 -- Josh Johnson, Marlins No. 1 pitcher.
193 -- Matt Capps, Twins closer.
242 -- Adam Lind, Blue Jays first baseman.
294 -- Howie Kendrick, Angels second baseman.
510 -- Brandon McCarthy, A's No. 1 pitcher.
674 -- Jacoby Ellsbury, Red Sox center fielder.
