Did the hiring of Bobby Valentine give the Royals a chance at Josh Beckett?
So Josh Beckett seems to have lost interest in playing good baseball in Boston. I think Bobby Valentine is causing all of these "Superstar" athletes (that comes with being on the Red Sox) to prefer to play somewhere else. I think Youk will, one way or another, not play for Valentine and same with Beckett. Should the Royals go for Josh Beckett? He's been called Mr. October by Red Sox fans with only one post season loss. I think he could be the Veteran, stabilizing answer to all of these soon to be major league pitchers the Royals will hopefully bring up soon (as in hopefully they are ready). What kind of package could the royals give for 2+ years at 15 mil each for a currently underachieving solid pitcher?
