Extrapolating the First 43 Games over the Full Season

Billy Butler has hit 9 homeruns so far, and is on pace to hit 34 this year, a season good enough to split third in franchise history with John Mayberry (1975), Dean Palmer (1998) and Danny Tartabull (1987). Alcides Escobar has hit 13 doubles, and is on his way to placing third in Royals single-season history with 49, between Billy Butler (51 in 2009) and Jeff Francoeur (47 in 2011).

The pitching staff is on pace for a Royals single-season record in strikeouts of 1,175! Unfortunately, they are also on pace for seventh worst in walks with 614 allowed per season, right between 2009 (600) and 1973 (617).

Finally, the Royals current record of 17 and 26, extrapolated over 162 games is 64 and 98. Bad enough to place them in 5th worst in Royals history.
