KANSAS CITY MO - JULY 26: Starting pitcher Zack Greinke #23 of the Kansas City Royals warms-up prior to the start of the game against the Minnesota Twins on July 26 2010 at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City Missouri. (Photo by Jamie Squire/Getty Images)
The Brewers are coming to Kauffman Stadium tonight with Zack Greinke taking the mound against the Royals. I am not sure what it will be like to see Zack in KC again. Mad that he supposedly quit on the team in 2010? Excited to see the former Cy Young winner again? Anxious to listen to his post game interview? Trilled to just see him pitch where he made 88 starts as a Royal?
He was the focus of the team for several seasons as he struggled with quitting baseball to being one of the best pitchers in the game. It seems that almost anytime he does anything for the Brewers, it gets noticed in KC. New agent. Struggles and victories on the mound. Impending free agency. It was like he was never traded.
I am sure some people will be booing him tonight. Other Royals fans may find themselves rooting for Milwaukee. No matter what happens tonight, I am sure Zack will try to make it as memorable as possible.
