Escobar Clutch in Royals 11th Inning Walk-Off Win

Stay connected for news and updates

He's alive. Alive I tell you.

Holy cow !!! Talk about another snoozer. 8 and 2/3rds innings of 1 run ball put up by the offense. Then it happened. A couple of walks and Escobar delivers the best clutch hit by a Royal this season, a 2-out, 2-run double in the bottom of the 9th to tie the game up. Finally in the bottom of the 11th, the Royals load the bases, Moustakas walks and Butler is forced home.

Highlights

  • Sanchez was effectively wild. 5 IP, 4K, 2 BB, 7 Hits, 1Balk, 1 Run
  • Butler was thrown out at home. The man is slow.
  • The bullpen went 6 innings, gave up 1 run and struck out 9 batters.
  • Both teams wasted a ton of scoring chances by going 5 for 21 with RISP.
