Centerfield has been another fun position for the Royals. Since Lorenzo Cain suffered his bizarre seemingly "season ending groin strain" as someone put it in a comment here, a cavalcade of options have been deployed in centerfield. I'm waiting for some fifteen inning National League park game where somehow we end up with Hosmer or Gordon in center, or maybe Escobar.

By percentage that's: Dyson - 62.4%, Maier - 23.4%, Cain - 6.8%, Bourgeois - 4.2%, Francoeur - 2.9%.

Royal CFs, as a group, are just about the worst offensively in the American League. With a composite line of .232/.294/.300, they're 14th in the AL in OPS (.594). That's also 13th in AVG, 13th in OBP, and 14th in SLG. The AL average is .277/.338/.440.That's what speed do.

This is mostly Dyson of course, but really none of these fellas has hit.
