After breaking through the five under five hundred mark last night, the Royals play two with the Twins (that seems about right) today.
Jonathan Sanchez (1-3, 6.21 ERA, 1.81 WHIP, and a 7.3 BB/rate) continues his quest to become the most hated Royal since Neifi Perez, taking on Scott Diamond (6-3, 2.67 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and a 37/9 strikeout to walk ratio). This seems like a pitching mismatch, but baseball has a funny way of doing funny things in these situations. Hey, Sanchez is on the mound, we need some sort of divine intervention.
The lineup: Gordon LF, Betancourt 2B, Moustakas 3B, Butler DH, Francoeur RF, Hosmer 1B, Pena C, Bourgeois CF, Escobar SS.
We don't know if Lorenzo Cain is any good, but I eagerly anticipate the day he is in the lineup at centerfield.
This is my first game thread and I have to do two today! Be kind, good Americans.
