In the last poll, 83% of you voted in favor of some sort of return to the all powder-blue road uniforms. The powder blue uniforms left in 1991 and did not make a comeback until 2008 in the form of Royals home alternates. Despite opinions on the full powder blues, everyone seems to like the alternate powder blue uniforms.
However, in the years before 2008, a tumultuous aesthetic period ensued. In 2002, the Royals made an inexplicable decision to move to the (hideous) sleeveless jerseys. With the move to sleeveless, the Royals participated in the back uniform fad, adding black to the road unis, black accents to the home unis, a new black alternate uniform, and a black and blue baseball cap. Other recent teams participating in this design movement include the Detroit Lions, New York Mets, Oakland A's, and the Arizona Cardinals. The Royals got rid of sleeveless in 2006 but kept the black alternate until the powder blue revival.
I've heard mixed reactions on the black uniform fad. People in KC seem to like it, as evidenced by the popular black Chiefs alternate jersey (which has never been worn in a game) and the prevalence of those black Royals caps. It's time for you to decide, though. Should the Royals go back in black?
