What has happened to Gordon this year? He's still the same guy in the field, he still has a respectable OBP at .365. His slugging and OPS are way down from last year, he only has 5 home runs and 27 RBI. While he's still hitting doubles like a maniac, where did his HR stoke go? Is Alex regressing or is he becoming a gap to gap hitter? It's just so odd because he hit 23 HR in 611AB last year and this year he's only hit 5 HR's in 332 AB. Last year Gordon went yard 3.7% of his at bats, this year his clip is at 1.5%. That is a HUGE decline. Royals fans can accept that because he hits doubles, well he did last year too.........So I ask you, what has happened to Gordon's power? Is it an adjustment from pitchers because he did so well last year? Or is it a regression and a lack of adjustment from Alex this year?
