Went to see the game tonight. A few random thoughts...

1) Will Myers has a really pretty swing. Didn't see him do a whole lot tonight but he looked good doing nothing. He's got a real ease in the batters box. He also looks like a child; when he fills in there's no way he sticks at CF. Might be his baggy outfits but him up next to grizzled Clint Robinson was hilarious. The contrast with Johnny G was also pretty funny. Like a hyperactive chihuahua next to a Doberman.

2) Chris Dwyer looked OK. The Round Rock lineup is appalling and he only had three punch outs against them. A lot of softly hit balls around the infield. Gave up two home runs, one just passed the fence at about 330 feet but the other was a no-doubter just off centerfield. He's not nearly ready for the ML club yet.

3) There were a fair number of scouts there. Three radar guns. They were taking notes on Dwyer, Myers, Lough, and Johnny G...but it was interesting that when Roman Colon came in relief they all stopped yakking amongst themselves and started making a very detailed report on his appearance (he looked great, by the way, 3 IP, 0 H 0 BB and 5 K).
