No long rants, just throwing out numbers that I would have known were bad, but wouldn't have realized just how bad until I actually looked.
Jeff Francoeur, OPS by month:
April - .574
May - .934
June - .515
July - .502
Wow. May essentially cost us another month of Frenchy, since it apparently takes two consecutive months of putrid performance before Yost will sit someone.
Eric Hosmer, OPS by count:
0-2 count: .085
1-2 count: .283
I was thinking yesterday it would be bad when he was first pitch swinging, but it turns out he's running over 1.000, then. It's typical to run poor in those counts, of course, but those numbers are abysmal. The only reason his 0-2 count OPS isn't .058 is that he was hit by a pitch, which contributed to his OBP. Otherwise, combined he's 8 for 88 with one double when ending his plate appearance in a 0-2 or 1-2 count.

Is this poll an obvious mechanism to add interest to an otherwise superfluous fan post?
