2nd Critical Stretch

Ugh. Just ugh. I don't even want to talk about the results series by series because it's just so depressing to look at it. 17 games after the all star break, 11 of which were against the worst two teams in the American League not based in Kansas City. The Royals won 4 games. Not 4 games against the Twins and Mariners, mind you. 4 games TOTAL.

Ugh.

There is just so much fail here that I can't even think where to start.

The continued regular presence of Jeff Francoeur in the lineup. Ugh.

The continued regular presence of Yuniesky Betancourt on the roster. Ugh.

The AAAA starting pitching. Ugh.

The errors and baserunning gaffes. Ugh.

The Royals were held to 1 run on 5 different occasions. Ugh.

Royals record (so far) against the worst 3 teams in the AL (Min 4-8, Sea 1-7, Cle 4-5). Ugh.

If the season wasn't lost before this stretch, it is definitely gone now. 100 losses is clearly in play here. Ugh.

I don't know really what else to say.

This team absolutely stinks. There, I said it.

Until the Royals stop trying to use backups as every day players, swing men as starters and 4's and 5's as "ace's" this team will go nowhere. Unfortunately, the people here know that, and the people that run the team think we are all fools.
