Today the Royals will play their 102nd game of the year. They have the worst record in the American League—both for the month of July and for the season—and are the first AL team to reach 60 losses.
The trade deadline is today, and it doesn't look like they will be able to obtain that one player that will push them over the top and end the 27-year playoff drought. Probably next year.
