Remember when the Royals were teasing everyone by staying right around five games back? Their three wins in their last ten games has nullified any and all "one good week" talk as they sit 9.5 games out of first and more pathetically 1.5 games ahead of the Twins. Worse yet, today just seems like a day in which the Royals right the statistical ship for Max Scherzer, whose FIP, xFIP, and SIERA are all between 1.23 and 1.90 better than his ERA. But hey, Everett Teaford is from Roswell, Georgia and given his name and hometown it's possible he's an immortal Civil War veteran, so he's got that going for him.
