MLBDepthCharts posted this today about why the Royals might not have called up Myers this year. They also mention that he might be "kept in Triple-A for about a month-and-a-half in 2013, they won't be eligible for arbitration until after the 2015 season (this would probably save the team anywhere from $1-3M) and would remain under team control through the 2019 season."
