I'm spit balling here but let's just go with it. Dan Haren and Ervin Santana will most likely be pitching for a different team next year. Now, what if the Royals were to trade for BOTH of them, assuming your not giving up anybody above maybe a Jason Adam mid level type prospect for each guy. They come to KC, one or neither sign an extension. The one/s that go to free agency then net us a draft pick at the end of the first round in 2014.

So basically trade for Haren and Santana for the soul reason that they will net us 2 draft picks...thoughts?
